We’re a family run business that has been part of the community here in Southampton since 1986, and we’re one of the largest suppliers of windows, doors, and conservatories in the local area. Our experience and expertise ensure that we can provide exactly what you need.
We know that a lot of people have had negative experiences with glazing companies. Our industry has a reputation for extremely determined sales people, all looking for a signature and a deposit, and reluctant to take no for an answer! We want to change that. We absolutely refuse to engage in pressure selling – we’ll talk to you about your options, offer advice on what may work best for you, and let you know what we can do. Most importantly, we’ll listen to what you have to say – our job is to supply what you want, not tell you what you want. We are one of the largest suppliers of windows, doors and conservatories in Southampton and the surrounding area.
A professional team of friendly experts
We want to make sure that you’re completely comfortable with our team. Every one of our fitters has obtained an MTC card (Minimal Technical Competencies) which means they have passed the criteria to install replacement windows and doors. The MTC is governed by FENSA, a government Authorised Competent Persons Scheme for the replacement of windows and doors in England and Wales.
We are also happy to use our many years of experience to provide you with expert advice on what will best meet your needs – it’s not unknown for people to think they need to spend more than they actually do, and if that’s the case, we’ll let you know. We want you to get the right advice, the right windows, and the right service – all at the right price!

5Lies, bad workmanship
1Additionally, a trickle vent that had fallen off my upstairs window was 'reattached', but not using the manufacturer's provided clips, as I found those lying in my garden under the work area. Closer inspection proved that no clips were used at all to reattach the vent to my window under warranty, and it looks like the materials were glued instead. Additionally, Windows By Wise has sent me written reassurances that the vent was actually clipped in place. When confronted with evidence that these reassurances are lies, they went silent, as they have done in the past.
Lack of warranty, insufficient aftercare, and misleading communication
1- Bad installation: overly forceful installation causing screws and mechanisms to come loose, visible degradation of materials
- Multiple tilt-and-turn mechanisms have broken (with the first starting from the original installation), none of which have been replaced so far, causing them to come off their hinges, and to close only with extreme force
- PVC film bubbling and degrading
- missing parts
Repeated attempts to email, call, or visit the showroom in person have not motivated the business to provide the service and the warranty I paid for, nor has any money been refunded. The installation was shoddy, the materials faulty, and the aftercare missing.

I have used Window by Wise several times for windows and doors. Today it was my front door. Rick was very helpful at the beginning as I wasn’t sure which colour to have. The fitters arrived today at the time they said they would. They were super efficient, tidy and friendly. They were also very knowledgeable about their product which was very impressive. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ did an amazing job!
We had our bathroom window replaced along with our livingroom window and front door adjusted by Windows By Wise, and they did an amazing job! Very organised team and very clean and tidy! I have cream carpets and tĥe fitters took wonderful care in covering the floors and cleaning up after completion! Extremely friendly fitters and explained what they were doing as they wenr along! Thank you guys great job! 5 stars
