Great mechanic

I am so glad we found this garage. Skilled, expert and thorough mechanic. Fairly and honestly priced. Will not go anywhere else.

Trustworthy local garage

5
Have used them for a few years with 2 v old cars, ford and BMW. Great service, always explain costs and work clearly, cheaper or same price than other quotes when I've had them and don't recommend unnecessary work. Also the work is done properly and stays good. Have found them trustworthy and helpful, and would recommend.

Have used WTG twice now and both times they have been excellent

Have used WTG twice now and both times they have been excellent.

My Audi is nearly 15 years old and I have had the vehicle tested twice at WTG. Both times the car has needed work and this has been clearly explained to me and a reasonable price quoted.

A fast no-nonsense service and one of the best London Garages I have used.

Thank you for your review, we understand it is difficult for some customers to accept that their vehicle has failed the MOT test. The purpose of the MOT test is road safety and the environment, unfortunately your vehicle failed the MOT due to lack of maintenance, it is the owner/drivers responsibility to maintain their vehicle to a safe standard. Your vehicle failed the MOT test due to the Air Bag warning system light showing a fault, both front flexible brake hoses excessively deteriorated and one rear number plate light not working. MOT records are now public information, anyone can input a registration number to the .gov website and check MOT history. Although you have now obtained a MOT certificate from another garage we have checked MOT test and have noted that the excessively deteriorated front brake hoses have not been renewed. As stated above, the MOT is about SAFETY for all road users, pedestrians and cyclists. It's your responsibility! Replied by Senior MOT Examiner.

Money first - help 2nd.

Charging labour + VAT to change bulbs as they failed MOT. £46 for changing bulbs!!! I will never ever in a million years goto this place again, nor recommend them. Unreasonable and no consideration to keep a customer happy for long term - just after short term money boost.

Unfortunately, garages like this will always exist and more unfortunately, people will goto them unaware.

Good luck if you choose these guys.

Thank you for your review, although we have no record of a Lee Yip, but we did have a customer with the initials of MR.F.T. with a Black Ford Focus on the same day as this review. The vehicle failed the MOT due to poor headlight image, we could see the headlight bulbs had been fitted incorrectly and were of the blue tinted type(blue tint is not an MOT failure). I telephoned MR.F.T. and explained the reason for the failure and to remove the headlights and fit two halogen bulbs and adjust aim would cost £46 including VAT. MR.F.T. told me he had bought two of the cheapest bulbs he could find online and fitted them himself, he declined my quote and said he would go to the local Ford dealer, buy two bulbs and fit them himself and he would collect the vehicle to do so. MR.F.T. then posted the review. I received a telephone call from MR.F.T. forty minutes after he posted the review giving me the go ahead to fit the new bulbs at my quoted price, FOR SOME REASON MR.F.T. had changed his mind.
