relaxed pub atmosphere
This pub is very central in the middle of sunderland, on the corner of a main street. I took my grandparents for their lunch, they both ate generous sized portions of fish and chips, my grandad washed his down with a pint. Very reasonably priced and well worth a visit, believe me if my grandad was impressed it must be nice!!! the staff were friendly and this made our visit really good. Cheap meals, nice atmoshere and polite curtious staff, couldnt ask for better. also keep an eye out because we often get vouchers through the door with discounts and specials. well worth a visit.

My local and it's brilliant
Fantastic chain pub from Wetherspoons
Cheap drinks and cheap food which you've come to expect from Wetherspoons
Friendly atmosphere
Can get a bit busy on a Friday and Saturday night but rarely any trouble
Plenty of seating to chill out and relax in with about six leather sofas and plenty of booths for greater privacy for small groups or couples
Food is fairly good but can occasionally be slow service
Ultimately it's a cheap, friendly relaxing pub where you can often go for peace and quiet or go with a large group of friends and still have enough room for all of you to be comfortable

Real pub
This is what I would call a real pub... not some dive full of vagrants. But a laid back, cheap, nicely decorated and quiet pub. Food's always tasty and reasonably priced. You get your old crowd, but they're of no harm - doubt they carry switchblades. Best for daytime early afternoon drinking.
