West Yorkshire Driveways & Fencing

Whilst Josh was operating as, "West Yorkshire Building Services Ltd" we contracted him to renovate our back garden in May 2019. The job included removal and disposal of a small Yorkshire stone wall, replacing it with a higher wall, re-turfing the lawn, and creating an Indian Stone patio area with electrics. All good, on first inspection, but less than 12 months down the line we had sunken paving slabs and fractured cement sealant between them. Tried to contact him, no gain, but I put that down to covid - tried again this year, found that he has changed his phone number, changed his website & email address - I've dropped him a note on FB but I have no real expectation of a response to be honest. As per the previous reviewers, please beware of paying in full until you are completely satisfied.

Very poor quality of work.poor customer relations. Lots of work needed to complete but will not return to sort out. Should have held some payment back. I am now having to pay someone a hefty sum to get it put right. Tried for 12 months to get josh to return just blocked my number.

The job started off well. I got a good vibe off Josh when I first met him, so decided to go with his company, despite them not being the cheapest quote i had recieved (although it wasn't far off). I had also seen alot of positive reviews for them on this website, which was reassuring. The majority of the job was completed on time and was conducted in a professional manner. There were, however, quality issues when the job was fully completed.

I have tried on several occasions to get in contact with Josh, both via email, via his mobile, via their website - to no avail. He's ignored me for over 5 weeks now, so I'm pretty clear where we stand. My advice: avoid this company. I've no doubt they have done a good job for others, but they should be judged on the jobs that don't go well and the way in which they handle them. I will have to go to some expense to get these problems rectified elsewhere, having already shelled out several thousands of pounds. Put your trust somewhere else.

We were extremely happy with our new driveway and fencing and we would definitely recommend, and will be using again.

We used halifax fencing & decking remove our old fence, and to then replace it with a new one.
We were kept informed every step of the way, and were exceptionally
pleased with the end result.
