Caters mainly for young males and posers

3
I have been a member here for over two years and just want to keep active and mobile. However, I often find the "music" unbearably loud and I do not think that rap and electronic "music" is suitable for a unisex gym catering for all age groups. Also, some males shout and shouting spreads germs, which in these days of pandemic is dangerous. That, and the odd male who likes to parade semi naked often gives an atmosphere of toxic masculinity which does not encourage inclusivity.

Amazing Unexpected Gift

5
Last night at 8 pm someone rang my bell. Due to "Lock-down," forced to stay home due to Covoid 19 was not expecting anyone. However asked and was told I had been sent a gift from West Faversham Community Centre. I opened my front door and there was a young man proffering a brown paper carrier bag who said,

"This is for you from all of us at West Faversham Community Centre for VE Day tomorrow."

As I had not had time to renew my membership due to the virus and several other matters felt quite overwhelmed by the kindness shown, so unexpected. Today I set up a table and two chairs made tea with the bags provided and enjoyed the three kinds of food prepared for 700 people. including two kinds of scones with Cornish cream and strawberry jam, three kinds of sandwiches and fruit cake. a lot of hard work involved including volunteers to deliver it. It was amazing. When things improve I will come to thank you all in person.
