Money money money

We went there as my dog was very poorly and there were no other vets open.I knew they were expensive so whilst booking the appointment on the phone I asked the receptionist if I could pay my excess and put the rest of the fee on my insurance and she said it was absolutely fine.Went there, got over the check up with no diagnosis but a box of probiotics and while paying they wanted the full amount paid on the spot embarrassing me front of everybody.I did quote what the receptionist said earlier but they did not want to know, they said it was a clear misunderstood as the receptionist knows their policy well. They agreed to accept a claim form this time but been very rude,I will never ever go there again and would not recommend it to any fellow pet owners.Money orientated business with lack of sympathy.

Do not go there if you can possibly avoid.

This is a truly awful vet. I went there since it was a Sunday afternoon, my dog was in obvious pain and I couldn't go to my normal vet which was closed. I took 5 mins of the Vets time and received about £5 worth of medicine. I knew the problem, since it had happened before, and knew exactly what to ask for and for this i was charged £250, I know this is an expensive part of London and I realize it's out of normal hours, but if you are the only emergency vet in the area, people have no choice where they go. Gouging people like this is taking advantage of the animals they profess to care for. They are taking advantage of the situation and encouraging people to hold back on getting their sick animals treated. I understand a fair profit, but this is absolutely absurd. Never go there if you have a choice.

RIP OFF VILLAGE VET HAMPSTEAD

1
RIP OFF VET charged £ 1250 to examine a cat for a few hours on a Sunday
DON’T GO THERE unless you have too much money or your pet is in a life threatening situation
This actually happened some month ago ....
But I was too mad to write about it straight away...
My cat was in a fight with another cat and looked a bit poorly over a 2 day period so we decided to take him to the village vet in Hampstead on a Sunday morning
We were asked to leave him there so they could do x rays and check him out and authorise anaesthetics and we also had to sign a form to say that the fees could reach an amount of between £400-£800 especially if the cat had to stay overnight .
We left him there around 12 noon and were told to wait for a phone call after a few hours at around 3pm
We waited till 4pm when we called them
They said he was ok but suggested he should stay overnight for observation
I was worried about the fees so decided to pick him up but could not see him till I paid £1250!
