Help with instruments

These people are very cool. They know their music and their instruments.
And, which is a massive plus for any music shop, they can do repairs and resets in magical time at really cool prices.
If you need a reset on a guitar, go to Varsity, that would be my recommendation.
Swift, efficient and not expensive.
Win win 😎👍

I went into ask about fixing my guitar ( fret buzz ) and the assistant was very helpful. Seeing i was curious he fully explained how fret buzz happens ( through playing a lot the metal frets get worn down in places leaving them uneven and prone to buzzing ). He showed me a simple remedy to fix the problem by turning the truss rod that runs down the middle of the guitar to raise the action on the strings and even gave me his spare alan key so that I could fix it myself when i need to. Sooo kind! The fret buzz has completely gone now and I haven't even spent any money. I feel so greatful to this knowledgeable and helpful assistant. Thank you Varisty Music!

Bullied by the owner. Horrendous experience.

I have never been so insulted and humiliated in a shop in my life. The old codger behind the till was in the middle of eating his stinky fish and chip lunch when I came in, and seemed affronted by my daring to even enter the shop and, god forbid, require any assistance.
He then pretended to be helpful, so that when I then asked a further question, he purposely made a fool of me in front of the rest of the shop. I felt humiliated, and was so angry and surprised, that I almost cried. I am unsure whether this was merely a cantankerous old bully, or an act of misogyny on his part, but I will never go to this shop again.
I will mention that his assistant seemed uncomfortable with his behaviour and actually apologised in front of the older gentleman to me.
It still doesn't mean I'll ever face such abuse again until that man is gone.

Don't want to listen to some old codger bang on about how him and all his pals voted for Brexit.
