SKIP DID NOT TURN UP, NO COMMUNICATION, BADLY LET DOWN!!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!....ordered a skip for Saturday morning as family came together to carry out a house clearance. Sam from Urban-Enviro confirmed details by e-mail but the skip did not turn up!! After calling them numerous times & leaving many messages they did not answer or bother to contact. They are a small start up business & use a call centre to answer their calls to pass on messages, but no one from the actual company contacted me until 2 days later stating that a bereavement had halted their business. Very poor communication & badly let down, having to rearrange many plans. If we had received a simple phone call that their business was going on pause, under the circumstances, it would of been received with sympathy. However, this was not the case & completely messed up our plans. This is a small start up business & I strongly suggest you order your skip from a professional company who answer your calls personally & do not let you down with no communication to their customers.

All of our 5* reviews speak for the way we operate. Our office based team don't usually work at the weekend and when the driver on duty that Saturday received terrible news, he was unable to work; subsequently there was a rare lapse in communication in this instance and we regret that we were unable to deliver the customers skip on the Saturday following a death. We offered to heavily discount the price for Mr Ransome by way of apology and deliver on the Monday, however, Mr Ransome had his own ideas, opting to hold us to ransom instead! He wrote to us via Facebook and advised that unless we collect his old mattresses and sofas for free, he will have his family leave us bad reviews across various platforms. We will put a mechanism in place so that, should a team member's relative die at the weekend, we can still deliver skips and answer calls. We thank all future and existing loyal customers for their continued support and we apologise to Mr Ransom for our being affected for one day.
