Ty Blodau

Having researched several florists, I visited Ty Blodeau & Jan. I needed a bespoke arrangement for my Mother's funeral, based on the glorious riot of colours & blooms that had been in her garden, rather than the classic wreath. I was explaining my ideas to Jan & she immediately understood with the words 'you want to put a piece of your Mother's garden on the coffin' & I knew we had chosen the right florist. The resulting display was the most beautifully glorious riot of colours & blooms & I could have been viewing & smelling my Mother's beloved garden. She also interpreted other floral arrangements for members of the family including a cottage garden, but always keeping the colour theme & style in mind of the big family display, so the resulting effect was a harmonious, joyful celebration of my Mother's life. I felt very much listened to from the outset, as I was very helpfully guided to think about ideas for flowers and their arrangement for my wedding in Autumn 2012. The bouqets, corsages, button holes, flowers for my hair, flowers for church and "thank you" bouqets were all stunning - as agreed, but more beautiful than I could have hoped. We received many wonderful comments regarding the flowers throughout the day and after. The "thank you" bouqets require particular note for their longevity - my husband and I visited my mother-in-law for Christmas (2-months later) and the greenery from her "thank you" bouqet remained fresh, and she had added fresh flowers to them in a vase. Planning to delivery was necessarily prompt as I found this florist just a couple of months prior to my wedding. Delivery was flexible (agreed to deliver to local hair dresser), and the flowers arrived (very well packaged) promptly in the morning. I was grateful for some flowers to try in my hair at the hairdresser some weeks prior to the wedding, giving me confidence that my hair would look as I wanted on the day. The service was excellent value - costing less than I would have anticipated, and there were no hidden extras.
In summary, I received a very personal feeling, professional, great quality and well priced service.
I would certainly recommend Ty Blodau to anyone for their wedding, and will no doubt go back for flowers for other occasions.
