Rip of merchant

Guy said my cat converter was done because it rattled and said it was worth one pound so I told him to keep it but as I drove away I knew there was something not quite right . And guess what I was right I had a conversation with my local scrap merchant who doesn't recycle cats and he told me that platinum doesn't degrade inside the cat but a lesson learned and a warning to all you thinking about using tri traders

To the uneducated person above. The cat you had was an aftermarket (euro cat ) which is worth £1.50 to a merchant. The rattle and the platinum content are nothing to do with the pricing of the cat he had as there is no platinum in an aftermarket cat. Try to ask a merchant with knowledge of catalytic converters instead of your local friendly merchant with no experience.
