Trax Health & Fitness Club

Trax Health Club has been running for over 20 years but in the hands

of the manager James and present owner Reece Winter for the last 8 years. Reece's background is in Gymnastics,Karate, & Body Building. You may have seen him on TV as a trainer on Sky 1 & Bravo.

Trax offers over 50 separate training aids such as weight assisted machines, loose weights, cardio machines, ab balls etc. Lockers are free of charge & a free induction is given plus up to 3 free programs if required.

As a small gym we aim to make everyone happy & help with any health goals you wish to achieve. We can take clients aged from 14 with an adult or 16 on their own & have four members that are in there 80's so we really can give a personal service to all our members.

We are located in Heene Road just a 3 minute walk from the beach or 15 minutes to the local town. Parking is free outside & also in all side roads heading west or parking metres to the east.

I go to TRAX gym and its great!, the staff are friendly, the customers are friendly and even the weights are friendly!! they have a great outlook to help you maintain your goals and health, especially with their easy access to what ever your goal is, whether it be body building or cardio, its in two parts! what more, is they have another room upstairs with extra activities! TRAX has helped me out a lot, not just physically but mentally too. Thanks TRAX. :-)

More than Happy

While i understand that people may have issues with their contracts and Trax contract provider they're not the only Gym to use this company and many of the contract companies have unfair practices.
All this aside i found Trax to be a friendly and inviting place to train (and i have trained at most of the gyms in Worthing at some point!). while i will concede That it can get rather hot in the gym with the doors open you do get a nice sea breeze and i have always found it clean and tidy and without the ego lifting element.
Yes the equipment may not be brand new and Yes there is limited space, but i think that they have used the space they have in the best way possible.
i paid for a whole year up front that's how satisfied i was!!! and i will be renewing my membership when this year has ended. All in all i'm very happy.

I find Trax to be very good value for money with friendly, knowledgeable staff, yes it's never going to compete with David Lloyd but then it's not trying to, it has all the equipment needed to have a full workout and plenty of cardio gear, as to the comments about broken equipment all gym equipment can break down and I must say when it does at Trax I have found it gets fixed or replaced much quicker than at some other gyms, I also see the staff cleaning lots so the place in never dirty, and for a membership that costs less than a packet of cigarettes per week in my opinion you can't go wrong.

Careful about your contract

1
Trax doesn't do its own contracts - all its contracts are managed by Ashbourne Management Services, who's being investigated by the Office of Fair Trading for unfair commercial practices. On 27 May 2011, the High Court held that a number of the terms in Ashbourne's contracts were unfair, and that Ashbourne has demanded payments that were not due and sent letters from a "litigation department" that doesn't exist. For the complete results of the ruling, visit the Office of Fair Trading website - and be careful when signing a contract with Trax.
