Replacement and upgrading, including the installation of RCDs and RCBOs to existing unprotected circuits (typically lighting circuits installed in older consumer units) to ensure protection against electric shock throughout the home.

Installing and extending socket circuits, replacing and upgrading existing sockets – including the fitting of integrated USB sockets.

EV Charging Station fitting:

Electric vehicle charging points typically require earthing protection in excess of normal domestic wiring arrangements, such as normal RCDs and RCBOs (trip switches).

This means that normal 13 amp sockets, as well as charging points that are simply connected to an existing electrical circuit, are unlikely to comply with the requirements of British Standard 7671:2018, Section 722.
