Toolstation

I've always done well buying stuff over the counter at Toolstation, but some items can only be delivered next day by Parcel Force. It was looking good when I ordered three items, but only two arrived. The missing parcel was 'lost' by Parcel Force and Toolstation were absolutely useless at doing anything about it. At the end of the day, after four phone calls, the call centre operative told me there was nothing they could do until they heard back from Parcel Force which of course they never did. I could not even cancel the order, and as the missing item was holding up work progress, I was well and truly stuffed. My only redress was to go elsewhere and then raise a dispute against Toolstation with the credit card company. The whole experience was a real pain and enough to turn me off Toolstation for life!
