Toddlers' University

We are a children's day nursery offering all aspects of quality care and education to children from 3 months to 8+ years since 1997, it is part of a chain of 2 day nurseries in the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area.

We are open 7.30am to 6pm for 51 weeks of the year and offer quality full and part-time daycare and education, holiday club and before and after school club. We operate school run services to Larklands Infant school, Chaucer Infant and Junior School and Kensington Junior school. For those children attending our nursery over mealtimes, we offer quality, freshly cooked food prepared on the premises by our Nursery Cook.

All of our staff are full qualified nursery practitioners with experience of working with children ensuring that your child's care and education is of top quality. Several of our staff either have a degree in Early Childhood Studies, or are studying towards this. All our staff undertake additional vocational training on a regular basis to ensure that their skills and knowledge are kept completely up to date. We believe that the quality of the staff has a direct impact on the outcomes for the children we care for.

We operate to the Early Years Foundation Stage, and record each child's individual learning on a day to day basis, giving parents/carers feedback on their child's progress both formally and informally throughout the year. Activities provided for the children are age appropriate and link in with the 7 areas of learning for the Early Years Foundation Stage and are planned to meet each child's individual next steps in learning and development, to ensure continuous improvement of your child. We are regularly inspected on our level of care and education and our current grading is 'Good'.

We are registered to provide 15 hours per week grant funded education to all 3 and 4 year olds from the term following their 3rd birthday, and also eligible 2 year olds on a flexible basis to fit in with each individual families needs.
