Over inflated price (double) from quote to collection

Quoted for a job on a car then almost doubled the price on collection - very poor business model - disappointed isn't the word - I don't like being ripped off and when I request a breakdown of costs I'm told i'm acting an id.iot ! Business owner tries to make up excuses.
