Excellent

I have used three oaks many times and each time im so impressed. My Labrador is more than happy to pull me to his ‘room’ , I think he remembers the treat of a pigs ear! I’m amazed at the bad reviews on here - I’m wondering if they have reviewed the correct kennels ? My dog comes out stress free. (And I know the difference having had an awful experience prior to finding 3 oaks). We have always taken him right to his kennel and gone to it to pick him back up. The communal areas are always clean as is the food room. They are happy for us to take in his own bed , blanket and toys.

Horrified.

My dog was returned thin and very thirsty. I never saw his kennel. They told me he'd been mixing with other dogs, then told me he hadn't. Finally, they kept his lead, claiming it was theirs, and just happened to be identical to his... He would never have gone in voluntarily without a lead. Disgusting behaviour. By the way, he's fully vaccinated, and his flea collar was brand new.

Nice to have a kennel I can trust

I had to leave my dog for a week when my work took me abroad and this was my first experience with dog kennels and I was extremely nervous allowing strangers to take care of my dog. At the end of the day, I had a really wonderful experience with Three Oaks. They were easy to work with and I could tell that the staff cared for my dog as well as I do. They even sent me a picture of my boy playing and socializing with the other dogs which put me at ease. I want to thank the staff and let everyone know that I trust this facility and would use them again in the future.

Newly built kennels are tiny and no customer service

1
The majority of photos of the kennels on the website are not the same as the newly built ones. Make sure they show you these. They have a cheap plastic ridged roof and they must get very hot as they had fans and hessian that they use to cool the kennels down. I can't see how these would stay warm in the winter as they are outside kennels with just a plastic roof. Does anyone use those in their own home? They are also small enough to remind me of the types of kennels used to house stray dogs. Indeed this is a part of their business providing kennels for stray dogs for the council. Following our complaint we were told the manager would call. They never called.

Disgusting

Do not leave your pets here. They're returned covered in urine, dogs mess. They were cowering as if they had been so terribly treated.
Disgusting way to run a business. Won't let me leave no stars.

Hi, I'm interested to know under what circumstances your dog was left there? Three Oaks are generally in the firing line from people who lose their dogs or neglect them and have to pay a fee. They had one recently that the person collecting their dog promised to ruin Three Oaks as they were unhappy their dog got out twice and that the council charge a fee....

Their dog also was roaming on a busy road for a few hours and these words were used when they collected their dog.

Have you got the right Three Oaks? I have never heard something so far from the truth. I leave my dogs here every year and have never seen anything like what you describe. My dogs are always so happy and the kennels are scrupulously clean.

They were boarding there for 2 weeks. 2 return comments on the same day, how strange.

Yes we are friends. Both board our pooches there.

I have had a bad experience too.the new block doesn't even have a tiled roof just plastic. Therefore too hot or too cold. Also too small to house a larger dog but they still do. It may pass council regulations but that does not mean they have to go to that standard. The photos on the website are almost entirely of the much larger original block. Why would they not build to the same standard? I cannot imagine any kind owner being happy to leave their beloved dog in that concrete outside new block. Manager never called after being told that they would.
