Rude controller, rude driver!!
Will need to start looking for another taxi service. Three times I have used them in recent weeks and really can't believe how rude their female controller was to my 17 year old daughter on two occasions. My daughter only asked how long the taxi would be to take her boyfriend home, and the woman was downright rude to her to put it mildly. Tonight she phoned a taxi, again to take her boyfriend home, on him being taken home to Deaconsbank, the driver charged him £8.00 (fare is normally £4.00) from Kennishead. When he stated the fare is usually £4.00, the driver abruptly responded that it's double time tonight (2nd Jan) and he can check with his boss. So, he handed the driver a tenner, he sat and waited, the driver asked him what he was waiting for, he told him his change, when the driver gave him his £2 change, he told him he was the worst customer he ever had. Is that right! Well this has become the worst Taxi service. Others were only charging time and a half tonight...I checked.

Hello Linda, I am disappointed that you have had this experience with our company. Please call in to the office and give us your details so that we can find the driver responsible as it was not double fare at this time. Also if you call in with the details of your daughters address and we will investigate as this is not acceptable by any means. We apologise and hopefully if you can give us a call we can rectify these problems. Management

When they answer they're good.
The main problem with thornliebank cabs is that they clearly don't have a clue how to answer the phones. I'll be sitting with three mobiles and the house phone and I still won't be able to get through. Drivers are always lovely and accommodating, just the people in the base that ruin the service.

Hi Emma, We strive to answer every call. However during peak times we have no option but to switch the phones off from time to time. We have in the past answered them to let our customers know that it is very busy and but mostly everyone says they will wait but when the driver gets there they are gone which causes the drivers to take longer and in some cases go home due to the frustration. I know this affects the loyal customers that would wait but we have tried many options here and switching the phones off from time to time is the only way to make sure our bookings and customers do not wait hours during these times.However we encourage that if you have somewhere to go and you know in advance to book the taxi to avoid any disappointment. The only other time we will switch the phones off is if there are not a lot of cars out working- which is something we have no control over. Best taxi service ever
Left my iPhone in one of the cabs at Edinburgh airport at 1.00 pm yesterday, called taxi company at 7.00 pm UK time from Bordeaux. Same taxi driver delivered phone at my daughter's dress in Glasgow at 8.00 pm UK time.

Worst cab services ever. Criminals
I used this cab with family on 04/12/2014 and to my disappointment a left my hand bag in the cab. Reported this to both the taxi cab company and police and nothing has been discovered. I am a tourist with all my items in the bag, my passport,money,phone and banking items and yet no one claimed to know anything about it. They are thieves. Please stay clear of them and be extremely careful before your items become missing or stolen.

I am sorry that you feel this way. However, our cars pick up hundreds of customers every day and due to this cannot be held responsible for any belongings left in a taxi. If our drivers spot something that has been left behind they will hand it in to the office or the nearest police station but if it is not there at the end of their shift there is nothing that they can do about it. Your statements on us "being thieves" is ignorant and ill-mannered to say the least. We cannot help that YOU left your belongings in the back of a taxi!! If you had noticed straight away our driver could have checked his car before his next hire. However, If when you reported it to us it was no longer in the taxi then there is nothing we can do but advise you to call the police. Management
