Thornhill Galleries (UK) Ltd holds one of the UK's largest collections of quality antique fireplaces in marble, stone and wood, regularly sourced from England, France and Italy.

We also offer a selection of other items including panelled rooms & doorways, wall lighting, mirrors, garden ornaments & statuary.

Our experienced installation team can also undertake the complete fixing process, along with:

* Supply of hearths and slips if necessary, in a wide choice of materials including slate, limestone, and a large selection of marbles.

* Supply of fireplace interiors, in either reeded or plain iron, rendered finish for painting, bricks or briquettes (sourced from France).

* Delivery and installation of the fireplace.

* Supply and connection of gas coal or log effect fire, with remote controls if required, by Corgi qualified installer.

The panelled jambs with carved flowers and foliage throughout with elaborately carved corbels above. The panelled frieze with scrolled leaf work throughout, surrounded by shaped shelf. Very good quality white marble. Circa 1840-1850.
In Carrara marble. The panelled jambs with stiff acanthus leaves to base, surmounted by carved shell and scroll work. The panelled out grounds with original brass vents. The panelled frieze with carved cartouche to centre, flanked by foliage. Shaped, moulded shelf.
The spandrels particularly well carved with foliage and flowing ribbon. Circa 1880. The limestone has a slight wax luster to it at the moment, but this could be removed if desired.
The sweeping frieze with carved centre decoration of shell, scrolls and drops juxtaposed with panels. The scrolled ends leading to shaped jambs with scroll finish at base. Mid 18th century. Shown after only light restoration, could be restored further if required.
In Pavonazzo marble. The panelled, break fronted frieze adorned with ormolu urn and foliage to centre, flanked by leaves, beading and square paterae to sides. The shaped jambs with flutes inlaid with ormolu. Shaped, moulded shelf. Original brass vents to sides.
