Thimbles Alterations is the best! The person who did all my alterations retired and I was very unsure of using anyone else . . however the work that this company has done for me has been outstanding! For example I wanted the sleeves of a lined jacket shortened in a hurry and was prepared for just the sleeve hems to be turned up but when I collected it less than 24 hours later, the sleeves had been removed from the jacket and lifted with absolutely no sign of the complicated work carried out. On another occasion I wanted the width of the neck of a dress narrowed; the job was completed with the many lines of the decorative stitching perfectly in line. When I asked for a skirt to be taken in, the pockets were removed and replaced in the reduced seams, amazing!
I cannot praise enough the work carried out for me - all in brilliant time and very reasonable prices.

Needed two pairs of Chinos shortening before an imminent holiday. Phoned around several different competitors and was quoted as much as £15 per pair with a four week wait ! Thimbles offered to alter the items with a one hour wait at a slightly increased price which was still £5 less and confirmed measurements with me using the in shop changing room. Very happy with the finished product and would highly recommend. Will definitely use again in future.
