Gave my suit to them to get it adjusted. I needed it for a wedding and gave them plenty of time to make the alterations. I went to collect my suit and the rude man aka the manager said it wasn’t ready and I had to come back. I explained that I didn’t live near by and it was going to be difficult for me to come back. He very kindly said he would drop my suit to my house by 6.30. 7.00....8.00 still no suit. He finally came and dropped it. Next day went to wear it and the alterations were all wrong.
Called and the lady said she can’t do anything about this and to call back.
Called on Tuesday after the bank holiday and spoke to the manager who was soooo unhelpful Said he feels the only reason why I was complaining was that I didn’t need the suit anymore as I had worn it to the wedding. I asked for my money back and be point blankly refused. They have ruined my suit. Do not use this company

I left a leather jacket for a zip repair or replacement. Cost was to be 15 pounds for repair or 40 pounds for new zip.On collection the "owner" was adamant that a new zip had been fitted. It was obvious to me that it was the original zip which had been repaired as first suggested. It was only at my insistence that He checked with the seamstress, who confirmed it had been repaired and not replaced. A refund was given but with extremely bad grace! I have used this place before and found the "Russian", ( according to the owner) ladies there to be extremely helpful. Why He needed to tell me that I cannot fathom? He could certainly learn a thing or two from them in the area of customer relations. This rude and aggressive man means that I will never set foot in there again.

Absolutely TERRIBLE service! I would not recommend this tailor to my worst enemy. I brought expensive trousers to be taken up and they were taken up too much, with a very shoddy job done. I then called up to ask for a free redo to be lengthened, and was told this would be fine (after some pushback). Having gone back to the tailor to get the trousers lengthened they said it was my fault and they would not redo them for free. When I said this was bad service they shouted very rudely you can take your trousers and leave, and don't come back. If you don't want your day and clothes ruined, I suggest you steer clear of this place. The owner Marvin is very aggressive if you 'dare' to question their work done, even if its shoddy and not what you asked for. In this shop the customer is always wrong it seems.

We returned to the ZipYard to get two previous trouser alterations corrected due to the length still being too long. We did not expect and were shocked to hear shop staff repeatedly telling us we did not get the original work done from the ZipYard, and I had a hard time trying to convince them otherwise - I was also surprised that the shop owner stood by quietly not saying a word having already checked the computer system record which proved we were there before for the same alteration. Staff then proceeded to shout from the back of the shop saying we were creating double work for them, which was inappropriate and made us feel uncomfortable when we were being polite. There is no reason for staff to be rude and address customers in this way and the shop owner does not value customer loyalty in anyway. To ZipYard, I suggest you get your act together and treat your paying customers with the dignity they deserve. We won’t be using or make any recommendations for your services in future.

I was recommended to use the ZipYard by a work colleague of mine who sang their praises following some alterations she had done. From the moment my wife and I walked into the ZipYard we were treated with welcoming smiles, we knew instantly our bridesmaid dresses were in safe hands. We needed 4 dresses altered which seemed like no trouble for the team. They were very friendly and reassured my wife the dresses would be ready in just a few days. The bridesmaids dresses fitted perfectly and alterations were fantastic. I can't thank the staff enough for the professional work they carried out and for making our bridesmaids look stunning! EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!!!
