A wonderful place to dine
5
I have used The Warren for several small business dinners and it's now become one of my favorite places to dine, I've never been disappointed. The staff are attentive without being annoying and the food is wonderful. l am pleased that I shared my details with my colleagues and friends as it's now become a favorite with them to. If you do visit I am almost certain you'll become a regular, it's hard not to. Happy dining!

Great Sunday lunch

The Warren is more of a restaurant than a pub, although it has some great beers worth trying. Its a nice setting for a family meal or a romantic night. Staff are friendly and service is quite good.

It's finally a country pub to be proud of
4
After spending many years in the wilderness, owned by one bland chain after another, the Warren is now part of Landmark Leisure who have transformed a handful of country pubs into places to be proud of.
This is a large, upmarket gastropub with character. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to nestle into, sofas to lounge across, and an outside terrace for alfresco dining when the weather allows (as well as year-round smoking).
It boasts a modern wine list and quite a few Champagnes which will give you an idea of pricing and clientele. We visited one Sunday lunchtime and it was heaving - we were glad to have booked a table. Fellow diners consisted mainly of families celebrating something, loved-up couples who had just rolled out of bed, and middle-class parents with sticky-fingered kids (and us four ladies).
The menu is extensive, with stonebaked pizzas a speciality and plenty of Mediterranean-inspired fare. Portions were generous and staff were fairly attentive.
