I came across the Scottish Buying Service via a Google search, and I am so glad I did find them! I dealt with Andrew in Edinburgh; he was friendly, professional, and not pushy in any way at all! There was no problem reaching a satisfactory price for the items I was selling, and I received a fair and very acceptable price from Andrew! All in all, a five star service and I would definitely use the SBS again!

Made an appointment with Andrew. He appraised the Jewellery I had brought in. I had a nice chat as he valued the items. I knew the rough value already and Andrew was more than fair with his offer. He actually beat another Glasgow based jewellers price. Would use this company without hesitation.First class service

An excellent, trustworthy, fair-dealing service.

My wife took some items of gold jewellery to The Scottish Buying Service to get them valued. Andrew carefully examined them piece by piece with his jeweller's 'loupe', weighed the ones he was interested in and offered us a fair price. There was no obligation to sell and no pressure. Andrew obviously knew his stuff and was very professional. There were one or two pieces he identified as being silver or gold-plated silver, which did not interest him, but he indicated which ones we might get a decent price for if we sold them privately online. After a brief discussion, we accepted a very good price for the gold items. Andrew took a photo of them alongside my wife's driving licence (for proof of legitimate ownership!) and did the deal there and then. When we got home, the money had already arrived in our bank account. An excellent, trustworthy, fair-dealing service which we would use again.
