Heavy parking fines, beware, not a friendly store
I was aware that there was a two hour parking limit, I went into Range on the 31st July, it was not a busy day, I spent £12.16 on some cushions. I left them in the car while I had a few errands to do in town. I got back two hours six minutes after leaving the store. I did not intend being late, but got held up and hurried back to the car. On the 5th August I received a parking charge notice for £100. The car was photographed on coming in and on leaving. If this had been made clear, and the extent of the fine, I certainly wouldn't have been a minute late. Any money I saved on the cheap goods in Range has been more than undone. I have spoken to a supervisor, who was polite, and said the parking policy was out of his hands. The fine seems extortionate, and if this is Range's customer friendly policy it has failed and I won't be visiting the shop again. The cheap goods are most likely the result of unfair trade with poor countries.
