Dr Anthony Soares

I had a family member treated here in Dr Soares team. I was suspicious of doctors soares and his opinions being a long term mental health practitioner myself. After careful research the information I found on the internet and after speaking to people in the North West. I am alarmed the hospital did not look further into this doctors background. Let's just say he is far from the honest god fearing doctor he claims to be.

Don't Go Here.

I would like to write a True review of this hospital. I have had a terrible time here. Where to start? The manager on the Wendy Orr ward should be taken back to school because her man management skills and her people skills is nothing less than appalling. The food here is nothing less than appalling and I would not recommend eating it to anyone. The only person I could any sense off in the 28 days I spent here was Dr Soares and louis who did a sterling job at medicating me and giving me advice. But sadly most of the rules are made up by the Manager who is a child. She is not running an intensive care unit very well to say the least. I presume that she is in her early 20s and lacks life experience. I could write more about my experience here but I recommend that anyone with any sense stirs clear.

Dreadful outdated institution

1
A dumping ground for miserably sad patients who have mainly been 'rendered' from their home areas, often 100's of miles from their friends and family. It is used by the NHS when there are no local beds available. This institution of course keeps many patients incarcerated for far longer than necessary - why wouldn't it? The patients are its bread and butter. This outdated excuse for a hospital is far worse than any NHS psychiatric hospital that I have experienced. It is run along the lines of a prison. For example, smoking leave is withdrawn for days at a time as a punishment for any minor perceived misdemeanour (like smoking in the extensive grounds, which is banned by the hospital). Staff levels are too low with too many agency nurses being used at weekends and holidays. The turnover of consultants is alarmingly high, leaving senior ward nurses with far too much power. There is an atmosphere of fear amongst patients, who are fearful of priveleges being withdrawn. Shameful.
