The Paint Works Body Shop

My experience matches that of the previous poster. After retrieving my vehicle from storage and taking it to the garage for a quote for a re-spray, I was told I’d get an email with the details, if not that day, then the next day.

7 weeks and 7 phone calls to them later, I have still received nothing from them. Every week, an identical conversation with Donna: ‘Give me you email, and I’ll let him know you called’. I gave my email 6 times to them, which was a bit strange in the first place, as they’d emailed 8 weeks previous, asking me to bring the vehicle in.

If they had no intention of taking the job, how hard is it to say ‘Call the guy back and tell him we can’t take on any more work just now.’

Seems like they used to provide good service. Not anymore.

If this is what they are like when they don’t have the vehicle, God help anyone trying to get an update on the progress of a job in hand.
Their customer attitude stinks.

Very disappointing! I went to this body for some work on my saab. The boss inspected my car and gave me an estimate for the work which I thought was reasonable. He said he would contact me to arrange a time for the work to be done. Unfortunately its all downhill after that. He never contacted me. Despite repeated calls from me and an e-mail there was no contact. The receptionist just repeatedly told me she would get him to contact me but to no avail. Very unprofessional customer care which usually means unprofessional work.

After receiving a very pricey quote from a big brand dealer's repair shop, I found The Paintworks Bodyshop via Google with very good reviews.
We arranged a quote via a photo and phone conversation which was ideal given social distancing and restrictions.
The repair work was carried out really quickly within 48hrs of dropping the car off, and for 60% of the price of the large chain.
You would never be able to tell there was a repair carried out - top work!

I can't praise these guys enough. I popped by this morning for a quote and date for a job, left after 10 minutes with my car fixed! They were my own christmas miracle. Thanks!! It's really great to find trustworthy, reliable tradesmen; I will be back.
