God awful - avoid

Unfortunately I have to agree with the previous reviewer on this one, I hated the experience there, in fact we ended up leaving before the end! I went with a relatively small group of friends and we hoped to have a nice evening with a few drinks and then a nice meal. Teach us for choosing this place when we were little drunk! It really is awful. The staff were aggressive and rude to us in the bar area, which was totally uncalled for. When we were summed to our table, they just left us. Despite asking twice for them to take our order, it took another 15 minutes for a shabby staff member to take it. After a further 45 minutes of waiting our cremated meals arrived. I have no idea where the staff go when they aren’t serving, but they didn’t notice us leave without paying either

Overpriced and overcooked

What an awful eating experience. This 'restaurant' is part of the New Inn real ale pub (allegedly renowned in Gloucester) and we had to go in there as the pub was not admitting under 18s (even though there was a history festival going on all around the city that weekend).

There was a group of around 8 people when we arrived, who were waiting for their food and waited a further half hour after we arrived. It was staffed by one woman who spoke really awful broken English. Half the menu was off and we landed out waiting almost an hour for overcooked steak (in two bits; charcoaled on the outside and tough as an old boot) and chips that were processed and cold. We paid £9.25 for the privilege of eating that to the sound of an Abba tape played on a continuous loop.

The tables were grubby and indeed a dirty dishcloth had been left on the one next to us.

I would not recommend this place to anyone.
