I Enjoy going out for a Sunday lunch, my partner and I went here for the carvery.
Not impressed at all, very disappointed. The meat was dry and the veg was very under cooked.

Sunday carvery - disappointing

2
Our Sunday carvery lunch. The good things: excellent roast meat and delicious real gravy, very friendly, very helpful staff. But, all the veg were oddly soggy, mushy, broken and pale in colour, and the roast spuds had such an incredibly hard, thick crust that I was unable to cut mine up properly even after I requested a sharp steak knife. The sage & onion stuffing was DEFINITELY not cooked but just shaken out of a packet & mixed with hot water and then served. Yuk!

The worst place I have ever been to

1
I tried the pie and it was so salty that I couldn't eat it, my mother went quietly to the bar as to not cause a scene and told them. One lady came over and took my plate stating she was going to try it. After passing the plate around to the staff, they decided I had put salt in it, which I hadn't, another women came over and seemed to be the owner, she began to say that three of her staff have tried it and it's not salty and that she had scraped her fingers on my remaining chips and they were covered in salt, I had only put pepper on them. my mum stated we were just giving customer feedback, the lady then seems to turn into a raging bull, saying she had made it herself and had put no salt in it, she had only put gravy granules
she called my mother a disgraceful woman, then proceeded to tell her, "get out and don't come back" My mother said she wasn't looking for a refund, the reply was "I wasn't going to give one anyway" then proceeded to cause a scene in front of everyone

Unfriendly and not family friendly

1
Went for a birthday lunch for my 12 yr old Niece. Sat by a table that was unreserved and was questioned as to whether we were purchasing lunch. We said that we were. We walked to the Mountain Air and the 2 children we had with us came on their scooters which we put right next to our table which was in the corner and bothering no one. The waitress came over and asked us to put the scooters outside where they wouldnt be in safe place. They came across as very unwelcoming and borderline discriminatory from my point of view. Would certainly not recommend going there with children even though it says it is a child friendly establishment. So much for promoting an active lifestyle for our children!
