Established in 2003, we are based in a large open-plan classroom with lots of natural light and a safe garden area. Ofsted registered to take children aged 2–5 years (term time).
We provide a well-resourced and organised environment that offers a wide range of learning opportunities for children. Our staff is passionate about providing a happy, caring, safe, secure, and stimulating setting, in which the needs of our children are met.

Amazing place

As a parent a couldn't be more happier with my choice. The nursery is located in a light, huge open space and the children are having easy access to all the activities. The staff is always friendly and helpful, paying attention to the details and having a close and responsive approach to the child's needs and wishes. Even that my child didn't have the experience of being with a stranger before he started there, I was very impressed how fast he settled in and connected with the staff . I was so relieved to see the huge smile on his face every morning while he was greeting at the door by the teachers. I strongly recommended this nursery as my child flourishes and learns so much in here. T

A traditional Montessori pre-school, a home away from home for children.

A wonderfully traditional pre-school with experienced staff who ensure the children have the greatest fun in a safe and loving environment. Having now sent two of my children to The Montessori Children’s House, I can safely say that it has become a home away from home. All the staff are friendly, approachable and really engage with the children. There is a wide variety of activities and they are very good at communicating your child’s progress. Parents’ concerns are never ignored, never belittled, always taken seriously and addressed immediately with the utmost professional and sensitive balance of care.
This has helped my children to develop and flourish before their transition to primary school. From experience, I can say that sending my children to the Montessori was a huge advantage for them as they were able to better fit their primary school curriculum, daily routines and better adapt to their new school right from the start. I would highly recommend it to any parent.

Great to have such nursery setup in our local community

The nursery provides a calm and peaceful environment for the children which facilitates both academic and social learning. The unique materials provided are simple, interesting and self-correcting which enables children to be self -driven, think critically and follow their interest. Both children and staff are polite and show respect towards one another, parents, and their environment. The children are treated with the esteem they deserve thus enabling them to behave considerately with others. The teachers are very helpful, caring and have a sound knowledge of the Montessori curriculum. They go an extra mile to bid adieu to the children leaving the nursery with the farewell ceremony.Learning by doing and independence is promoted in the form of children pouring their own milk, cleaning up after themselves, getting themselves dressed, carrying their own food to the table for lunch which empowers them, boost their confidence, and increases their ability to learn .

Outstanding nursery in Sutton

My daughter has been at this nursery for nearly 2 years now and we couldn't be happier. She loves going and has built a strong relationship with all teachers and solid friendships with the children. The setting is peaceful, bright and spacious and has an enclosed garden at the back. They have plenty of learning materials all neatly organised on lower shelves, and divided by activity - which gives the children the chance to independently choose what they wish to do, play and then tidy up after. The teachers are all very caring and well prepared in the Montessori curriculum, and they always go the extra mile to support the children. There is a yoga class weekly and weekly baking. It's a mixed-age nursery which gives younger children the possibility to look up at older children and learning from them, as well as for the older children to be role models for the younger ones. When the children leave the nursery , they are very well prepared to start the primary school journey.

A great little school. My child has been attending for two years now and has really progressed here. The teachers have been very friendly, caring and patient. My son absolutely loves it. Would love for my baby to start here once she turns 2
