Hi, my name is Trudy, the owner of The Moist Bakery.

Here at The Moist Bakery we have been in the baking business since 2011. We love anything that involves art, so making really tasty cakes is our main goal but with the added plus of creating something that puts a smile of others faces.

We are an excellent choice for your special occasion. All carried out to the highest standards, and at competitive prices, using only the best ingredients. Our cakes are baked in our home kitchen which has been inspected and approved by Bedford Council with a 5* rating. Qualifications include Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety and Food Allergy and Intolerance Training. The Moist Bakery has Public Liability Insurance.

We are very easy going, love to build a relationship with our customers and put our all into your individual and bespoke design.

We were recommended The Moist Bakery by a friend for our wedding cake in August 2023 and what a recommendation it was! Working with Trudy was a fantastic experience - from being sent beautiful samples to taste, then designing something truly beautiful for our wedding cake. Trudy was excellent at communicating with us and talked us through the options we had for our pressed flower design. Our cake had two tall layers, with a different flavour in each layer however the taste of both was amazing and the look of the cake was absolutely stunning. We were so happy with how everything went and would highly recommend working with The Moist Bakery for any event or occasion!

Our wedding cake 17/9/22

Well what can I say, outstanding service from start to finish, and reasonably priced . We hired the Moist Bakery to make our wedding cake and it was perfect. The fruit cake was delicious and Trudys attention to detail with the icing was spot on. I’d previously heard good things about the moist bakery and will definitely use them again

Trudy even made a little video clip when she arrived at the venue , which gave it that personal touch , and we absolutely loved .

A truly wonderful wedding cake provider

Everything Trudy did was amazing. First of all we only gave her a few week's notice and she worked out the logistics such that it was possible to fit us in and set the cake up at the perfect time for us. Then, with no detailed instructions, we left her some flowers to somehow use when she came to set up the cake - thinking she might just lay them here and there... but NO! She really went to town and created a beautiful work of art. Finally the taste (Biscotti flavoured) was sumptuous and so enjoyable even for someone like me (the father of the bride) who isn't into cakes usually! Anyway our daughter and son-in-law were thrilled with what she did - she is just so friendly to deal with... highly recommended.

The Moist Bakery’s Cake

Although The Moist Bakery came highly recommended, I was not disappointed at all. Trudy’s communication from start to end was fantastic. She listened to what I wanted, came up with a few ideas and done a couple of drawings. The cake was spectacular, beautiful, tasted amazing and worth every penny. I wish I could add a picture to show how lovely it was. I definitely will be using The Moist Bakery again!
