Enter at your own risk. I’m telling you. Hair dye is slapped on like paint. If you want orange hair just ask for blonde. Ironic that the stylists are so full of confidence slating former hairdressers handi-work which looking back was excellent compared to what I left with as it has become worryingly, progressively orange as days have passed. Breakage allover. Salon refuses even a partial refund which I felt reasonable but wants to get their hands on it again to try and fix it. If after the first time the hair ends up burnt orange and broken don’t even try and touch it a second time round. Free of charge obviously but the risk outweighs the free try. Not really a fan of cold water either and filthy surroundings so going back is not an option totally fuming that I’m expected to go for round two. This salon needs a reality check and a plan for when customers hair goes wrong and they don’t want any more damage. 120 pound for orange hair and breakage good luck on getting away with that.

I've been visiting The Mermaid Hair Club with my daughter since it opened last year. Sometimes, for colours or trims, and most recently for nail treatments.

The team are incredible. They're friendly, professional, and welcoming, and best of all, they bring fabulous flair to their individual roles. Their nail tech, Joe, is a wonderful new addition to the salon. He's patient, passionate, and as something of a perfectionist, Joe works meticulously to create the look you want.

For children, The Mermaid Hair Club offers a host of hair and beauty treatments, including glitzy hair tinsel and polish manicures — the latter is the perfect treat at just £3! If your child has a birthday coming up, their mermaid pamper parties are a great alternative to sweaty softplay mayhem and beige platters.
