The Learning Base provides an outstanding private tutoring service with a proven track record in helping students to achieve their full potential. We specialise in 11+ / Grammar School Entrance Tests and GCSE English, Maths and Science.
11+ Grammar School Entrance Test Preparation
I am a fully qualified teacher with many years of teaching experience. I consistently deliver an engaging learning experience for students determined to gain a place at one the prestigious grammar schools in the West Midlands.
I cover all required content for the 11+ CEM syllabus including Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Teaching is meticulous and students are rigorously prepared for the test. Feedback and advice is also provided to parents on a regular basis to help accelerate progress.
GCSE English, Maths and Science
Our tutors are fully qualified teachers with years of experience working in mainstream schools. We have specialist knowledge in delivering the AQA, Edexcel, iGCSE and OCR specifications. Students are prepared to sit the new 9-1 GCSE examinations. Our approach is to teach the topics students find challenging and to supplement this with past paper examination questions. Students are prepared to confidently recall all subject content and trained to answer exam questions with accuracy and efficiency.
We take a unique student centred approach to tutoring as we believe every individual has a unique learning style. Our students have enjoyed great success over the years and parents are happy with the value our tutoring methods have added to the educational outcomes their children.

5She seemed to enjoy every lesson due to her eagerness to attend and was receptive with the daily homework set.
Feedback was given after lessons which provided me with an overview of progress whether it was good or bad.
With the multitude of tuition centres available it can be a daunting prospect in choosing the right one. I came across The Learning Base by chance however I would certainly not hesitate in recommending The Learning Base to anyone thinking of supporting their children. I've already started my son on it!
