It was used to be a very nice pub ran by a lovely female for more than 10 years.
Re-opened on May/July this year but I could hardy see anything inside, curtains and blinds were down most of time .When I went in on a Friday lunch time just about 1:50, I was refused to be served, it would have been the first pint of my day before the weekend and I only tried to have a quick pint before getting back at work at 2:15 pm.
However, this is the first time that ever happened to me in my life, being refused to get serve in a pub, and I am almost 50-year-old.
People said pub landlords don’t have to give any reasons and he only said ‘sorry I can’t serve you, go somewhere else’, before I can hardly say a word to ask for a drink. Might be this is my fault, my face, my look , whatever I wore… etc.
Sorry I cannot make any comments about the drink, the food, the look inside…etc.
Might be this not my type of pub before I could found out myself, the landlord already implied that. Good luck to him…
I gave it one star before it does not accept 0

Nice Pub

This pub has a really good feel about it although never seems to be particularly busy when I've been in there. Good selection of drinks, definitely a place to go either with a large group and stay there all night or earlier on in the evening when you want to be able to hear your mates conversation. One of the nicest pubs in the town centre with some semblence of atmosphere.

small but friendly
4This little pub is compact but cosy. Theres not a lot of seating for a large group of people and it can feel a little claustrophobic when it is busy. That said it is quieter and has a more mature crowd than many of the pubs in maidenhead.
The wine selection is very impressive as is the selection of beers on offer. the staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere generally very pleasant. Being in the town center means there is no carpark for the pub itself but it is easily accessible. i havent tried the food here so cannot comment. All in all a pleasant place.
The parrot can give you a bit of a start but is well behaved.

Nice little watering hole

Popped in here for a quiet after work as it was one of the few places which didn’t seem to accommodate ‘barely 18’ drinkers and ridiculously loud music. Was pleasantly surprised with the selection of drinks on offer and was able to flick through a few newspapers which were scattered around the bar. Bar staff were friendly and efficient which is unusual for a town centre pub. The food selection was really good for such a small place and wasn’t too expensive although it did take ages to arrive. Couldn’t see any TVs so I am guessing they don’t show any big sporting events although you never know.

Cosy town centre local - good beer

Despite being right in the town centre, the Hand & Flowers is a cosy little local. Good beer on tap, good wine, and not usually very smokey (if that bothers you).
Best of all - they have a parrot behind the bar. Awesome.
