The Greyhound

Hard to choose from the menu as I liked the sound of everything. Helpfully they have a complete chart covering all dietary needs so that made it easy to select a meal that was gluten free. All of us enjoyed our meals
Great atmosphere too.

I have today eaten at the Greyhound pub/restaurant for the first time.....and last. The pub is clean I was met and served promptly and the décor was good ,and at lunchtime there was one other elderly couple in the pub TOTAL. This was the clue I should have taken account of most of all. My wife and I both wanted a light lunch and drink we chose the club sandwich @£9.00 and chips @£2.00 the sandwich came on a board (god I hate boards) and when I asked how do you eat of off this why not a plate? I was told "pick it up and open wide" .Great thanks for that. The sandwich was posh you could tell this the crust had been cut off. It was almost toasted as a club sandwich should be but not quite any browning may have spoilt the look. The chicken was cold from the fridge not the grill as was the bacon, There was also a cold hard boiled egg, fresh means freshly cooked not fresh from the fridge. Then avocado this isn't a problem I just don't like avocado and have never seen it in a club sandwich

Comfortable chairs, (seems strange to put that first but it contributes to the experience!) nice atmosphere, attentive service and tasty food. An enjoyable Erving with friends, keep it up staff!
