Business overview

Traditional Country Pub Offering Good Beer, Good Food, Good Company & Great Value

If you appreciate real ale and good pub food, you’ll love The Green Dragon.

Conveniently located on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, within easy reach of both the A30 and A303, The Green Dragon is a great family pub - offering a choice of comfortable bars and good food, with free live music on alternate Fridays. And you’ll get a really warm welcome from landlords Helen & Trevor.

The pub is a lot older than it looks, dating from the early 17th century and having been given a facelift in Victorian times.

It’s right at the centre of village life and often acts as a venue for the many activities that take place in and around Combe St. Nicholas.

Priding itself on the high quality of its beer, The Green Dragon has all the benefits of a real ‘local’. You’ll find fine real ales in perfect condition – with local ales, usually from one of the smaller, breweries that abound in this part of the world – delicious Somerset food, & make sure you try our famous Sunday Lunch.

Green Dragon Inn

The Green Dragon is a friendly local pub with a separate main bar and lounge bar so if you are there for a meal you can be separte from the main bar area. Food is served until 9 o'clock but not on Mondays. They hold regular live music events with local bands, which usually attract a good crowd. The dates and bands are advertised outside the pub. Look out for the Green Dragon sculpture in place of a pub sign which was made by the landlord Trevor. There is a car park to the side and a smoking shelter around the back but no garden since it was sold for houses. There is a pool table and darts but no skittle alley since it was demolished (it wasn't used a great deal anyway).
