A very big thank you to Paul, what a genuine lad. Absolutely brilliant customer service and professional manner. As for the work completed, I had my 2012 galaxy 2.0 powershift gearbox reconditioned. Including new valve body and up-rated clutch for £1500 cheaper than Ford quoted me. I honestly couldn't believe the drive home, no jumping or juddering, not even a suspicious noise. I highly rate this garage and will be returning in three years to have my gearbox serviced.

My 4 year old Nisan Juke I purchased from Westover Motors developed a gearbox problem, - Could not engage reverse gear and Westover wanted £800 to rectify the fault plus £100 to estimate. Phoned The Gearbox Specialists (Dorset) Ltd. -and was greeted by Barney who told me to pop in and they would have a look. I called that morning, gave them the keys 10mins later he returned to say job done, it was just dry and needed a drop off WD40. I was over the moon and when I asked how much they refused any payment. I did not think there were any first class honest businesses out there but this one is - "The Gearbox Specialist" - please remember this, you might want a gearbox repair one day

The Southampton branch repaired my Ford Galaxy automatic gearbox.
They gave me a quote before the work commenced and that was the price on completion.
The gearbox is now working fine. They did an excellent, professional job.
