It's the 23rd of December 2020, probably the worst time in human history to have your boiler break. The Gas Trade Centre were the only one's in South Tyneside still working so close to Christmas. Booked an appointment for Christmas Eve to have an Engineer to come out and have a look; hopefully fix the damn thing.
The Gas Trade Centre receptionist called me back and said there was a cancellation and an Engineer could come out today to sort us out. "Fantastic, how long do you reckon?"
"About an hour?"
Less than an hour later an Engineer turns up wearing a mask and everything and gets right to it. A cheerful that knew his stuff.
Unfortunately the news was terminal for the boiler but the Engineer was very sympathetic. Just waiting on a breakdown of costs and details for a new boiler.
I'd highly recommend The Gas Trade Centre to anyone in need of heating related services.

Avoid!! This company is a joke!!

This company has attended my house on 3 occasions to change an Automatic Vent Valve valued at £6.50. They look at the problem and leave promising to carry out the repair on their next visit. I’m now 3 weeks down the line and the valve which is available at most diy outlets has still not been replaced. Awful service from an awful company.

COULDN'T FAULT

BOILER FAILED C 5PM MONDAY.MY BANK OFFERS A HOME EMERGENCY SERVICE WHICH I USED AT 9AM ON TUESDAY.I WAS PROMISED A CALL WITHIN 2 - 4 HOURS FROM GTC TO MAKE AN ARRANGEMENT FOR AN ENGINEER VISIT; THE CALL CAME WITHIN 20 MINUTES.THE ENGINNER COULD HAVE CALLED SAME DAY BUT NO-ONE WOULD BE IN. IT WAS AGREED HE WOULD CALL SOMETIME BEFORE 1PM ON WEDNESDAY WITH 20 MINUTES NOTICE OF HIS ARRIVAL. TURNED UP BANG ON TIME AND HAD THE PROBLEM FIXED IN 20 MINUTES. FIRST CLASS FROM START TO FINISH.

I was not impressed this firm, my wife and I are both in our 80's , and disabled . I contacted my insurance to report a boiler breakdown on Monday afternoon . I was told expect a telephone call within 2 to 4 hours . After 3 hours I phoned the office , closed at 5 pm , tried mobile , no joy . Phoned on Tuesday, told unable to respond till Wednesday , told them it was urgent , sorry can't help you . So they were quite happy to leave two 80 yearold disabled to spend two nights without heating , on the coldest nights of the winter . I contacted someone who arrived in 45 minutes, did the job in I hour . how many stars out 5 --- none . Nelson Allan. Wideopen .

Great boiler installation

Very happy with my new Vaillant boiler that was installed.The two engineers how fitted it were very professional and spend a great amount of time flushing the system to make sure it was as clean as could be. Explained how everything worked and left the every room where they worked clean and time.
