The Fountain Inn

Alan and Michelle welcome you to their traditional village inn. Built over 250 years ago, it was extended to provide refreshment and accommodation for passengers when the Severn and Wye Railway reached the village in 1864.

Located in the heart of the Royal Forest of Dean, one of Britain's finest wooded areas, The Fountain makes an ideal base for sightseeing, mountain biking, or for exploring some of the many peaceful forest walks nearby. The cycle centre is just a few miles away, while the RSPB Nagshead reserve and the northern terminus of the Dean Forest Railway are both situated in the village itself.

All eight guest rooms (including one specially adapted for the less-able) are en-suite, tastefully decorated and furnished, and have television and tea/coffee making facilities.
