Flowers for a lovely Lady we called Mum
5
We called at this florist with little or no idea of what flowers we wanted.
They made suggestions and helped us choose the right flowers, we went away had coffee. Returning to the shop to place our order, nothing was too much trouble for the member of staff involved.
Friends and relatives made good comments on the arrangements and asked for details of the florist. (Including the Undertaker)
Thank you for making our last Special Day with our Mum.

Disappointment/Inconvenience/Awfully upsetting.

Provided exact diagram/flower colours, plus motifs bought ourselves and all necessary information that any competent florist would require.Just disastrous!
Day before funeral, arrangement had to be returned to shop.for very quick re-arrangement and came back no better than before. Colours wrong, flower heads cut too short (even funeral director struggled to make it look near presentable).
Assured by shop manager it would be perfect, I even bought thank you card in advance, so confident was I he was going to organise a fitting floral tribute for the deceased.
Upset, embarrassment and that awful feeling of never having chance in the future of being able to rectify this appalling experience, is our lasting memory of a florist who has shown neither concern
nor sympathy for completely spoiling the farewell to our beloved relative.
Despite sending letters asking for a response, all correspondence has been ignored, since he delivered what can only be descrbed as some sort of amateur attempt to cobble together a bunch of very poor flowers.(and an expensive bunch at that!). It is, of course, representative of the measure of this dreadful person (David) that he could not even send a written apology. We are disgusted and can only hope that whenever a close relative of his dies, he will not be subjected to the dreadful humiliation we experienced on the day of the funeral. Does not come any worse than that, does it?
I have no choice on the website but to show a rating, but given a choice, I would rate as -100!!
I have no doubt that even I, with no floristry experience at all, could have made a better job myself (though obviously at a time of great distress, you entrust - or think you can entrust such important arrangements to the, "professionals" - how wrong can you be?!!
A very unhappy time, in all respects, that will live long in our memories and I can only hope, like myself, any other customers will avoid this business and the uncaring, rude and totally unprofessional manager!
