The Drum & Monkey

The food is very good. However, I was very disappointed the last time that we went.
We had chosen to go to The Drum and Monkey with friends that had come down to visit us from Birmingham. Despite us phoning to reserve a table (and arriving early), we were being pestered by the waitress to place our food order. We told her that we'd like to have a drink before looking at the menu, and she still returned twice (as did another waitress), saying that the chef was shouting at her to get our order.
She told us it was because the farmers were in tonight (sic)!
The menu is not as varied as it once was. They use to have Kangaroo and the like on the menu. But unfortunately no longer do!
But, as I said, the food is still very well cooked and presented.

Not many have eaten here which is a pity.They do lunchtime specials and the food is nice.Good atmosphere.
