New Management - new ideas, yet old regulars are being consulted

Just dropped in on way home from station: friendly greeting by both Co-landlords, especially as this was only the second day they had been open. James was holding an interactive discussion with “the regulars” over choice of beers on tap, and what prices the “locals” would pay.
This suggests the patron will involve locals in the way this new team will move forward - they are not going to make change for the sake of it, they will listen to their existing customers, and try to bring them along with their plans to rejuvenate and regenerate this previously run down establishment. They have already started to redecorate the premises, now they are learning what their clientele liked about the old pub, and what they would like changed.
