At The Cabinet Maker, we have been making custom built furniture for over 38 years in the south Essex area. We are a family run business that specialises in unique items of furniture, each one tailored to the customers needs.

All furniture, cabinets and other items are crafted from a range of hardwoods (and MDF if requested) and either painted or stained to match existing articles or décor. Our aim is to turn your vision into reality when it comes to the furniture you have in your home. Whether you are looking for a one-off piece to suit an awkward space, or you want to invest in a completely new set of furniture, we are here to help. We have previously created display cabinets, tables, TV and entertainment units, radiator covers and even 'Shaker' furniture (based on the traditional American Shaker style).

I had two radiator covers made for my living room. I am really pleased with the finish, they are of very high quality and the front pops off to give easy access to the radiator. The colour match I was after is perfect and the service was friendly, quick and efficient. Would highly recommend

"Instead to searching the shops and internet for that perfect piece of furniture just give the style and size to Steve (at The Cabinet Maker). You will not be disappointed. I have had Steve create furniture for me for over 20 years and I have always been very happy with the results. He created a fabulous sideboard to match the kitchen units for a kitchen/diner, a unique corner unit for an awkward shaped space and much more"

Beautiful piece of bespoke furniture.

Experienced professional carpenter carried out the brief to a very high standard. He was prompt with the proposed appointments and timeline of the project. We are extremely happy with materials used and workmanship of the project.
We would definitely use this company again and will highly recommend them to friends and family.
