In the Rede Valley , the Byrness Hotel is a circa C17th Farmhouse set in 5.5 acres of private ground and offers B&B accommodation. Open log fires, an inglenook fireplace and many original features are to be enjoyed . We are situated directly on the Pennine Way just outside the village of Byrness and opp. St Francis Church. and we are a favourite with Pennine Way walkers. We have a licenced restaurant and provide evening meals and also packed lunches (if required) . Situated on the A68 the National Express stops a short way along the road so we are accessible from Newcastle for a weekend or short walking break. We also have a coffee shop that sells homemade cakes and bakes, light lunches and delicious snacks and we also display and sell Local Crafts. In the Winter months we offer traditional spinning and knitting courses. For those travelling by car, the Scottish Border is just 5 miles north of us with the towns of Jedburgh, Melrose, Kelso and Hawick easily accessible,
