I have no hesitation in recommending Alan and his family run 'The Book Buyer'. He offered me an extremely fair price for my books, money towards postage (he was unable to visit on this occasion), and very rapid payment. Sell your books with complete confidence. I can't imagine anyone beating his fairness and speed of service. I will definitely use Alan's service again.

I emailed the bookbinder to see if they would take my books. The proprietor Alan contacted me the next day and offered to take my books and also pay for the postage to send to him. When the books arrived he quickly got back to me and paid for the books I sent as promised. Excellent communication and fast payment. Really pleased with the whole process thank you so much, would highly recommend for all your book selling needs.

We were disposing of my father's collection of books, largely natural history but also a set of encyclopedias (EB ed 9 and 10) in good condition. We hoped to find a good home for as many of them as possible. Having met two other book buyers who had expressed initial interest but failed to come back to us we contacted The Book Buyer (TBB) online. We got an immediate response of interest and having sent photos we made arrangements for TBB to view the books. He was courteous and professional and having looked through the books, explained what he was looking for and made an offer for those he wanted that was very acceptable. He packed and took them away in two trips. To our surprise he came back to us to offer a further payment having gone through the books more thoroughly. We then offered some NN duplicates which were not in the original batch. After the same procedure we again agreed a price. We felt happy that we had been dealt with professionally and the books had a good home.
