Whether you are focussed on a career in the industry, or simply LOVE to perform we will help you develop as an individual and help you achieve your goals. The first step to getting involved is to book into a free taster session in one of our classes, we will meet with you and find out what it is that you are passionate about. Our weekly acting workshops are designed for aspiring young actors acquiring skills to develop craft and technique. They deliver a wide range of disciplines starting with drama exercises and games but then integrates core skill sets including script work, improv, on screen camera technique etc.

The Attic’s Musical Theatre classes are led by professional musician and singer Josh Kemp. Musical Theatre is a technically demanding discipline, we develop our students as skilled singing actors that train weekly in fun and professional sessions.

As actors, it’s important to enjoy each step you take in your acting career and one of those steps is being able to ‘move’. You don’t have to be the next Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers, but there are many advantages to being able to dance that are far beyond just dancing.

LAMDA exams are about achievement, recognising and rewarding the endeavours of each individual, but they are also about empowerment. Their aim is to provide all people with the opportunity to develop the life skills they need to be a success: building on self-confidence and communication skills.

Join our fun singing group that meet every week on a Tuesday evening. We love to sing a wide range of music from Pop to Musical Theatre in a fast paced session for all levels.

The Attic Theatre School delivers classes designed to stimulate creativity in young people, building confidence and developing performance skills. We offer lessons in Choir, LAMDA and Acting so let us bring Performing Arts to your school.

I couldn’t recommend The Attic enough!

I’ve been attending Attic Theatre School for almost a year now and I can’t quite believe how far I’ve come as both a person and performer. I currently attend the Musical Theatre class lead by Josh Kemp who has completely transformed my singing and confidence. I’ve also been lucky enough to experience being part of the choir in “Joseph and the amazing Technicolour dreamcoat” through the Attic which is something I will never forget. Amanda knows how to bring the best out in people and I thoroughly believe she has with me. Each class is exiting and always brightens up my week. Everyone there makes me feel so welcomed and to me, the Attic is like a home from home; a family. I couldn’t recommend it enough! Thank you for everything Amanda. From, Daisy.

My Second Home

I have been attending Attic for a year now and it has giving me some incredible opportunities in the short amount of time I’ve been here. I attend Musical Theatre with Josh Kemp who is a phenomenal teacher and also the acting class with Amanda Grimsey who is also an amazing teacher. My confidence has grown dramatically and I have already taken part in so many more things for example I was in the children’s choir for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat UK Tour and also now I am part of the related Attic Kids Management so I have an agent which gets me auditions. Every student is so supportive and I really look forward to lessons every single week - even if it’s over Zoom during the pandemic. We get the opportunities to work with incredible guest teachers who each have a new take on acting and singing. Each lesson is a balance of fun and learning key skills for the future!

amazing and cant wait for more oppotunities to come in the upcoming years

I have been attending the attic theatre school from the very start and I have loved every lesson I have had with Amanda and josh as I have attended both the lamda and musical theatre on a Tuesday and the singing lesson and inter senior acting lesson on a Thursday I love having the time to show people what as a theatre school we can do as team I have given this school a 5 star rating due to the amount of fun we have in all lessons that I attend and nobody feels like they would be judged if they do something out of their comfort zone we have not only had fun in the lessons but also outside of the lessons we have made group chat where we all talk through things we need to prepare but also things that we do in a day to day life during this pandemic we have had to do our lessons on zoom and we have had so many guest teachers come to share their knowledge of the industry .

Fantastic Experience Joseph Choir

Amanda has provided my son an amazing experience performing in Joseph as part of the Children's Choir twice! The standard of the choir was excellent
