Located on Market Place, Henley-on-Thames town centre. The Argyll has been serving the needs of its customers for the last 250 years at least. The pub is warm and inviting with traditional cask ales, new world wines, premium spirits, soft drinks and fresh coffeeÂ’s.
Over the years two episodes of Midsomer murders have been filmed at the pub, many people travel from all parts of the world to visit Henley and the local area, pop into The Argyll for a clotted cream Tea at the pub.
We are informal and invite you to enjoy our pub, along with our beer, wine and food.
On offer is top quality home cooked food, see our menu for fillet, rib eye and rump steaks. Meat is supplied by Gabriel Machin a local Henley butcher. Sunday roasts are a specialty. We serve pan fried Sea bass fillets, grilled Salmon fillet and beer battered haddock along with ‘lite bites’, doorstep sandwiches and filled jacket potatoes and chefs specials.

Good food
4The staff are friendly and the service is quick and efficient. It is clear they are targeting the food market as there is little more to say about this place.
The only negative would be the seating - not very comfy or realxing. Maybe they prefer people to eat and leave rather than lounge around!

5The pub is very popular with towns folk and visitors to Henley. The atmoshere is relaxed, informal and friendly, service is polite and efficient.
Home cooked food is served from 10am through until 9pm daily. Chefs specials and traditional well prepared pub food is always on the menu.
There is a terrace garden at the rear with car parking. For a positve Henley experience The Argyll should be on your list of places to visit.
