Poor at best.

Awful. Do not spend your hard earned money in this dreadful place. So dismissive about problems that THEY caused.

AWFUL - AVOID

1
Would give 0 if I could. My tropical aquarium had been set up and running VERY well for 9 months. Had not added any new fish for a couple months. Buy some from this place and all my fish are dead in the space of 4 days with white spots. They tested the water and said it was good, gave me some free white spot treatment and to go back and speak to the manager the next day. Which I do, then I am advised a few minutes after I left the test changed and showed my ammonia and nitrates are too high, which they are not. I test it frequently (because I have some expensive fish I don't want dead). They offer a SHOCKING credit note to somehow make up for all my dead fish. I would ABSOLUTELY avoid. May have a decent selection, but when THEY cause a problem, an expensive problem, they're honestly the worst company I've dealt with. Will buy from elsewhere in the future. Not going to use that credit note when I can't trust the quality coming out of there.

My favourite aquarium shop in the area.

I went to the Aquatic habitat a couple of days ago. I liked the fact that they quarantine the fish before selling them. There was a good variety and all of the fish looked healthy. I am new to fish keeping and asked the staff lots of questions. All three of the staff that I spoke to were really helpful, patient and knowledgeable and friendly. The lady who collected the fish from the tank caught them very carefully. I have had the fish a few days and they are doing really well.

Would never recommend and never return

1
Sold faulty tank heater and returned immediately. Would not accept return but would have to be tested to show I wasn't lying. Told them I needed a replacement, as I was worried about my tropical fish without a heater. They weren't interested, and I would have to purchase another and refunded if testing proved faulty. Outraged, would never recommend and will never return. Update. Heater was faulty, no apologies and lost two of my fish in meantime, but did get a better and cheaper one elsewhere.

Don’t go there !

1
Awful experience! Don’t go there ! My daughter saved up £150 to buy herself a tank and fish. While we went on holiday the fish tank leaked litres of water, leaving 6 fish in 2 inches of water. The water soaked a chest of drawers leaving wet clothes and carpet which needed cleaning. They did swap the tank but no really concern for the hassle or mess it had caused. 4 months later during my daughters half term my daughter went upstairs after being out for the day to notice all her fish were dead, the heater had over heated causing her fish to boil to death. ( it was smoking ) I phoned to explain the situation, they said they would come back to me. I had to chase them and they offered the most pathetic good will voucher of £29.99 ! No real concern of the fish or how upset my daughter was. She was so upset ! I asked for a full refund for all the hassle, mess and upset this experience has caused. Dreadful customer service ever ! Please go to another fish shop! A total insult !
