Business overview
Stop for a pint at the Advocate, a charming pub in Edinburgh's old town. By day we're a relaxing pub attracting locals, office workers, and tourists. You can enjoy a pint of Belhaven Best or some classic pub grub. Once the sun goes down, the sounds of live music take over. Artists like Martin Andrews and Mike Patterson often take to the stage here. And with a capacity of 206, the atmosphere often gets pretty lively. This unique venue became a pub in the 90s. Sports fans are well catered to, with Sky Sports and TNT Sports while four-legged friends are always welcome – who doesn’t love a dog-friendly pub? Head to our beer garden when the sun’s out and don’t forget to make use of the free WiFi.

Great Pub
5Exceptional Food
5The Advocate.
5Had not been there since it was the Fiscal & Firkin(not a good pub then). Met a few friends on 18/6/10 for a bite to eat & a few drinks & had a great time. The food was really good, waiting staff really helpfull & took care of our table so well(even though they were only getting to terms with a new menu that had only started a few days before). After our meal we stayed to see the live music which was great, the bar staff were really pushed at times
but we never waited long to get served & they threw the banter around so well that the staff & the customers alike had a really good Fiday. Eventually we headed down to George Street(our original destination).
Well done the Advocate, we will return. *****

1i felt de-littled and embarressed by her comments and she did nothing to accomadate me and my situation.
this pub was highly reccommmended to me but after my ordeal i would not reccommend this place to anybody- staff and a like are not bothered with my condition and have no care on there minds for people like myself. !!
