The Acting Studio

Having worked in performing arts in one way or another for many years as either a performer,professional theatre producer or teacher, I have a vast knowledge of the industry and the skills required to motivate and educate.

The former co-founder and artistic director of AGF Performing Arts Nottingham, for nearly 20 years, I am now solely concentrating on the craft of acting and teaching students who wish to pursue a career in this field as well as those wishing to build on their confidence and self esteem.

Acting workshops as well as being fun and inspirational will include :

Improvisation, scene study, Shakespeare, physical theatre as well as Sanford Meisner, Konstantin Stanislavski,Michael Chekov, Moni Yakim and Uta Hagen techniques.

In addition, because I believe that if you are thinking of a vocation in the arts, it is important to know the industry and have a knowledge of plays, films, directors, writers, actors, theatre practitioners and drama schools etc, at The Acting Studio there will also be workshops in play-reading, film study and contextual analysis, as well as the opportunity for discussion and debate within workshops……. An ‘informed and intelligent actor, is a better actor!’
