We had our new 20mm prime grade oak flooring fitted by Matt in November 2019. He did a superb job. It was a relatively complex fit over 50 square metres, which due to uncertainty about there being an adequate damp proof course in the 1938 concrete floor, Matt first applied a ‘sandwich’ damp proof system including primers, levelling compounds and epoxy damp-proof membrane. Other suppliers either did not quote for this or just ignored it. Attention to detail was fantastic. This just is not your usual tradesman. Polite, thoughtful, well educated, willing to learn, thorough, patient, competitive. What’s not to like? We now have a fantastic floor.

Matt firstly thank you for your professionalism, attention to detail and passion for the work you carried out at our home following a recent flood. Your support, guidance and patience was appreciated when we were choosing the new floor as it allowed us to make an informed decision. We are absolutely delighted with the look and quality of the floor and it has exceeded our expectations.

Matt installed a new solid oak floor in our extension as well as refurbishing our existing wood floor to match the new one. We were so impressed with the quality of his work and can't believe how amazing our new floor looks - totally transformed! He clearly has very high standards and knows his stuff, the quote he gave us was very competitive and his pricing was transparent. He set aside a week to do the work although was very efficient and was done in 4 days with virtually no mess! Matt was thoroughly reliable and conscientious, he clearly takes great pride in his work and was very patient and happy to talk through the process, answering any questions we had. Will be getting him to sand and seal our kitchen floor next! Wholeheartedly recommend.

Wood floor laid by Matt of TFS

We have just had an engineered wood floor fitted in the lounge of our converted barn. The work was carried out by Matt. We are extremely pleased with the end result, both in terms of the look and the way it has been laid. Matt was very friendly and chatted through the questions that we had and gave much thought to each step of the process. The result was a beautiful finish that we are very pleased with, we wouldn't hesitate to use him again for any other work that we may want done and recommend him unreservedly.
