Very expensive to take your cat
1Owning a pet is very important for the low paid too.
2My old pal is my closest companion. Vets know that we'll sell a kidney to take care of our pets health. Sadly, these days that is getting closer than anyone would have imagined. The other day I had to pay 20% of my entire monthly income, for a single short visit and a few tablets. Thank heavens I didn't take up the Metacam offer.
Two stars for the nice people there, but I really cannot add more for the value.
Great vets, unethical pricing bordering on blackmail
1Our dog went in for £300 worth of tests, and were promised a phone call within the week when tests returned. 2 weeks later i had to chase them for the results. The excuse given was the vet who saw us was on leave, but they had the results. My wife distraught asked for anyone to call as she was worried about the dog. A vet then phoned me several days later to tell me the results and recommendations as promised.
A week later we then get a further £28 bill for a consultation call. I found this highly unethical, bordering on blackmail, to bill for results following a paid for test. I understand the vet was on leave, however thats a practice issue and doesnt absolve them of delivering the results as promised. At no point were we made aware of the additional cost or that the call back was an additional consultation.
Shame we wont use them again, as they clearly only care about the money 🙄
